Jul. 9th, 2015 09:55 pmTwo sisters I'm acquainted with are both having baby girls a handful of months apart. The first one picked a super bland boring name, but the older sister chose Graley Joy which by itself looks like it's trying too hard to be trendy, but it's actually her maiden name and the middle is one of her sister's middle names.
It's the cutest family-honoring name I've heard. Kind of obsessed.
Thoughts? Has anyone ever known someone who names their child a family surname?

Date: 2015-07-10 11:47 am (UTC)It passes inspection because it's her maiden name but all I can think about is Theon Greyjoy. And yeah a lot of people do that. My friend used her maiden name Graham on her son

Date: 2015-07-11 12:05 am (UTC)I do know someone who used her maiden name Bronson as a name for her son. Doing that confuses me since a security question is always "what was your mom's maiden name?" Not very secure when it's your first name as we!!.
