I'm in no way ready to have kids, but I still like to be prepared.  One of my favorite names lately has been Evangeline and I'll be honest, I'm kind of obsessed with it.  I really want to honor someone who was very dear to me, but I am not sure how her first or middle name suit Evangeline. Her name was Linda Susan.  What do you think of either Evangeline Linda or Evangeline Susan?  Do you have any other suggestions?

I love Evangeline! When one of my best friends got pregnant, she let me help her find a name and I suggested Leona Evangeline, which she took :)

It's hard because Evangeline is in such a different category than the other two. I do think they sound weird together. The only things I could think of would be maybe Susan Evangeline and have her go by her middle name. There's also the possibility of combining to make Evangelinda, but I'm not sure I like that.

I would go with shortening Susan and Linda to make Evangeline Lynn or Evangeline An/Anne maybe.

I like Evangeline Susan, a lot better. It sounds nicer than paired with Linda, I think.

As the first commenter said, you could use one of the names as her first name, if it flows better and just call her by her middle name. I think it would work as Linda Evangeline then.

You don't need to shorten either name or combine them, because they do work well, it just is a matter of placement and whatever you decide.

Love Evangeline! We used Linden to honor my MIL, who was a Linda.

Evangeline Susan has a nice ring to it. Linda, not so much. Too many L sounds.

Or you could go all Evangeline Lily and call her Evangeline Linny

Evangeline Susannah/Suzanne? It's long but I have this same issue (mil's name was Susan and we need to honor her if we have a girl) and I just like those names much better than Susan. You could even give her super cute nicknames like evie sue ;)
