I just came across this article and thought I'd share it here, just to get some input and feedback. There are a couple of the girl's names that actually aren't so bad.

My first car (an '86 Buick Park Avenue) was named Clarence lol

I like Dorothy and Pearl.

I'm very hit and miss with old fashion names. Some of them have a lovely elegance & others I find too sharp sounding/stuffy/boring etc

Love Dorothy & Pearl and like Leroy & Marion but others like Norman, Clyde & Gertrude really shouldn't make a come back.

I know a sibset (oldest to youngest) Lenny, Herb and Clem, they've grown on me quite a bit.

A coworker named her daughter Mabel about five years ago now. I think it's awful!

Marion is the only one I kind of like, and probably only because it was on my list for girls names (my husband's grandmother). Some other names I like are also old-fashioned, like Lydia and Matilda, but I hated all the boy names on that list.

hmm i had a gr8 uncle named Clyde and tbh i think Clyde is kind of a cute name for a lil boy. obv i'd pair it with something that he could always fall back on if he wasnt into being called Clyde tho..or could just use the initials.

my cousin and his wife named their daughter Lilah Lea Pearl (Pearl was his maternal grandmother's name)..

Marjorie was the name of my papaw's 2nd wife and i didnt like her at all. soo i hated that name for yrs on principle but since i've been watching Game of Thrones, GRR Martin and Natalie Dormer have made me love the name Margaery (in that spelling too) and i even told hubby i kind of wouldnt mind naming a future daughter that. but i'd make it very clear that i got the name from GoT NOT to honor my papaw's 2nd wife, i think ppl in my family would assume i was doin the latter and lawd knows i would never!!
