Not the OP, but I believe Aoife is usually pronounced 'EE-fa', like Eva with an 'f'. It's an Irish name.

Awanderingbard is right; said like Eefa. Her mom liked it more than Poppy, but as we live in America and it's seen next to never here she was too worried about people pronouncing it incorrectly all her daughter's life.

yeah, see i love the pronunciation but people can't even pronounce normal names now-a-days. i would feel bad knowing i had branded my child with a life of telling people how to say her name over and over again.

Cora is great. It's strong and sharp, yet feminine and elegant all at the same time! Seems to be rising in popularity. Charlotte Marie, Vivienne Rose (Charli and Vivi) are nice as a sibset, and the nicknames are hella cute :) I like the sound of Aoife but not the spelling. Not fond of Irish spellings, but like how a lot are pronounced.

Charlotte and Vivienne are two of my favorite girls' names. I love them as a sibset.

I also like the name River but not with Whitney.

Is the name perhaps Anise Ellen? I think Anise is very pretty!
