What do you think of Atticus for a girl?

EDIT
SO glad for all the responses. I LOVE this name, but only for a boy. My wife thinks it is the cutest name ever for a girl. I'm going to show her the responses :)

No bueno, IMO. Doesn't feel feminine at all. The fact that I'm not a fan of the name, period, probably makes me a bit biased :)

Nope. Don't like it at all.

The "-cus" sound at the ending is just really masculine to me. Marcus, Atticus, Lucas. The only girl name I can think of like that is Dorcas, not exactly a big hit for most people.

It's too much of a boy name imo, but so is Wyatt, Maxwell, etc and those are girls names now. I'd assume it's a boy if I saw it on paper.

I would hardly call one celebrity using Wyatt or Maxwell as evidence that those are girls names now.

I think you under estimate the influence of celebrities. Kardashian kid was named Mason and the name spiked. some people follow trends.

Wyatt and Maxwell are still first and foremost boy names. Sure, some people follow "trends" but it's too early to say if those two particular names will now forever be girl names. I haven't seen anyone else naming their daughter Maxwell, and she's like what, 3 now?

I'm a woman with a stereotypical man's name. It's been a problem my whole life. Everywhere people assume I'm a man. ALL THE TIME. Professionally it's caused some mild embarrassment when people call me "sir" in emails and then find out I'm a woman. I would advise against giving gender-specific names to the opposite gender for that very reason.

I really enjoy the name Atticus, though as it's becoming rather trendy I'd want to avoid it the same way I now feel about a lot of names I like (darn it working in child care!) That being said, I know the sweetest little girl called Attica, if your wife is set on the name then she might be able to compromise on this instead?
