I met a family through work who introduced their daughter as "Gaylen/Galen," but when they sent an email I realized it was spelled "Gaye-Lynne."

I definitely don't hate it, but don't love it, either... but I think I'd rather not use a hyphen.

Looks like it's meant to be a hybrid of Gayle and Lynne or something to that effect. Not my favorite, but it also has a boyish sound to my ears.

Raze_the_rose posted about Galen last month, I'd not heard of it before then.

Its a quite masculine name, I suppose the Lynne is meant to balance but I'm not a fan of hyphens.

I like the sound of Gail/Gale but these spellings

I had to look it up too, I saw a few girls called Galena/Galina

I prefer just Galen (Gaye-lynne). This name has really grown on me, I quite like the sound of it.

I definitely hate it. I went to school with a guy named Galen, I think that works a lot better.
