Saw a strange sibset the other day. Parents seemed to be ethnic Norwegian judging from their very normal Norwegian names.

Their sons however: Kimilian and Davian.

I checked our official name statistics and these are the only kids with these names in Norway. I'm thinking made up, but I have no idea. WDYT?

I have a zip file of the top names from 1880-2013 in the US. If the name is used less than 5 times they don't publish it.

Kimilian didn't get a single hit. I would say made up, but a play on chameleon? There could in theory only be a handful.

Davian has been listed every year since 1974, in 2013 it was #768 Davian with 289 (beating Lennon #769)

I think being only one letter different from Damian/Damien means more likely to be used. Parents trying to make it more unique.

I think Kimilian maybe unique version of Cillian/Killian. I've never seen it before.
