[identity profile] thestarsisee.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi! This is my first time posting on this name, but I have had an LJ before. I was browsing through, after being linked from GJ, and I was wondering what you guys think about these names:

bayleigh lynne
joline marie (jo-leen)
victoria jean.
steven james.
lori ann.
harleigh quinne.
tempest serafina (closest translation: stormy angel.)
james william.

thank you for your input!

Bayleigh and Harleigh, are bit too much to swallow IMO, but in their more original spellings they aren't too bad. Joline is cool, but i would pronounce it with the hard 'i' sound b/c of the spelling. Love Victoria, but not too fond of it paired with Jean. Steven james is nice. Loria Ann seems like it should be one name. Harleigh Quinne isn't bad, i kinda like it, minus the spelling. Tempest Serafina, is...well... a pretty crazy name... James William is nice, I like it.

harleigh quinne is a bit too much like Harlequin romance novels.

Joline is nice but to keep it at that prn you might want to use Jolene - Joline looks like it rhymes with sign

i've always liked the eigh ending, so i like Bayleigh Lynne, even though it looks a little bit....overly feminized.

James William, Steven James and Victoria Jean are all classy names.
The rest I really can't stomach especially Harleigh Quinne and Tempest Serafina.

yeah I like classical names and Torah ("old testament") names.
I think Serafina Rose is very pretty!
Actually, there's a little girl at the school where I work who just started and her name is Seraphina-she's such a little doll, I think it's made me like the name even more.

Unlike the first two commenters, I see Joline and I read/say it jo-LEEN, so I think it's fine the way it is if you really like it. However I am with [livejournal.com profile] coconutchica on the Harlequin thing. Victoria Jean has a nice nostalgic sound to it. I really like it. :)

i love harley quinn, but i'm pretty sure kevin smith (dogma, clerks, silent bob) named his daughter that! I was actually considering it because of the joker's girlfriend on batman lol i'm a dork.. but yea.. i dunno

bayleigh lynne - hate it. bailey is bad enough, this LOOKS as awful as it sounds. i hate the name bailey in general (especially on a girl) and this just makes it worse, sorry.
joline marie (jo-leen) - that's pretty
victoria jean - really pretty
steven james. - like it a lot
lori ann. - okay, not a huge fan of lori, though.
harleigh quinne. - whaaaat?! harley isn't even a name and harleigh... well, see "bayleigh"
tempest serafina (closest translation: stormy angel.) - waaaay too cutesy and matchy, yuck
james william. - lovely!
