I think they are naming her Skylar Rae.

I like Skylar despite not liking the nn Skye at all. I definitely prefer it as a girls name.

One of my pregnant coworkers due in July picked this name out when she was a teenager, she's using the European spelling Schuyler as a unisex name.

I think it's cute. Probably because I'm a teacher, and the sweetest, smartest girl in one of my honors classes is named Skylar. So I'm biased with a good experience :)
