[identity profile] renishas.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I'm 25 weeks pregnant with our second boy. The first time around I had a short list of first names and a middle name sorted out. This time around I'm a little clueless. So I come to you wonderful name lovers. We've been referring to him as Baby Castiel, (Yes from Supernatural.) but it's not exactly a first name I think I'd actually use. However we have come around to the nickname of Cas. Other than Castiel and Cassidy (which sounds like a girl's name) what are other name possibilities that Cas could be the nickname?

Seconding Caspian and Cassius. Is Cassius a name? I feel like it is. I knew a Caspian who went by Caz.

We almost changed our sons name to Castiel! I hope you find something good because I love Cas as a name.

I have a friend whose name is just Cas, not short for anything... it could work.

I once knew someone who went by Cas also. I was going to say, I don't know if it was short for anything, but I was at his funeral, and I don't _think_ it was?

Seconding the initials spelling out CAS idea.

Cassian is another name that might work.

There was an awesome character on the long-running NBC daytime soap Another World named Cass.

Also, allow me to invent a name: Cassander. (Kind of like a male form of Cassandra.)

Uh, I just went to your LJ and see your other son's name is Xander, so methinks Cassander is a wee bit too similar (understatement). :)

Cassander is an actual name. It's Greek. For some reason, I'm thinking it's also a fairly common name in Spain. And there was a king with the name. :)

Oh! Maybe I've heard it in the past and it crept into my unconscious. :)
