I dig this article because I feel that it condensed naming styles really nicely and in a way that makes sense. We tried to aim for a balance between "Timeless" and "Go a Little Weird But Not Too Weird." But I never knew that's what we did until now. :-)

I was SO category 3 with my first daughter, Kira. And it truly has become more popular, to our horror, just as the article says. *sigh* Our 2nd daughter, Maelle, is not in the top 1000 and never has been, but I wouldn't say it's a bizarre name like gundzath, or whatever their example was. But she WILL have to spell it a million times in her life.
