I swear I'm a trend setter with names! Ugh, lol. First baby name I picked out YEARS before I ever had him, then it was suddenly popular. Last baby's name has been picked out for the past 5-ish years and, once again, it's gained in popularity. Only once out of the 4 kids has the name not risen. I guess at least I manage to stay out of the top 10.

I always wonder how Baby Center's lists (since it's based off of most-searched names, I think) compare to the SSA list with the actual rankings.

They base them off of the names that users put in as their child's name for that year. That's why you'll see names like "Monkey" and "Peanut" on there.

I feel like these names are just a big blur right now because I've seen them so many damn times over and over. Some of them aren't bad and I like but they just all look so boring at this point.

YES! *Fist pump* I am SO stoked that none of my names are on that list! Tiny victory, but still. ;)

I wish they could rank with the varied spellings. Jackson/Jaxon/Jaxson is so popular. As are the 20 different spellings of Aiden and Jayden.

Ah, well that explains why Jackson shot to #1!

We have friends with the last name "Jackman" and they have a dog named Jaxson. Which fits with their name. As a result, this trend with Jaxson just makes me think of their dog!
