It's pretty looking, but I don't understand why there's an s in it if it's not going to be pronounced.

It's also spanish for island so that comes to mind.

Most people would probably pronounce it wrong.

I wouldn't mispronounce it though.. LOL I love Isla.

I wouldn't use it... I'd hate for it to be name and get called Is-lah all the time. =/

I love it and would consider it, except one of my former classmates is the only person I've ever met by that name, and our grade five and six teacher used it for her daughter when we were in grade eight, so I can't shake the public school associations.

It's a silent S; EYE-la is how it's SUPPOSED to be pronounced! I would never say it any other way. O_o I would hope that most people would know that.

It's pretty, but I would spell it differently so it would be pronounced correctly. Maybe Ayla. It's unusual and I think most people would say "EEsla"

When I first looked at it, I started to sing the chorus of "La Isla Bonita" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Isla_Bonita) in my head. I'd probably end up pronouncing it like the song (EES-lah), too. :/
