Date: 2013-11-17 06:57 am (UTC)2.) If you are going to pronounce it Meyer and use it on a boy, uh, Meyer Wolfsheim. Maybe not a big deal except to English majors and librarians? Either way, I would think it odd to see this name on a kid who wasn't Jewish!

And while it's more of a verb than a noun ("one who shines" or some such--sorry, I'm forgetting my English), its meaning is definitely to do with light.
I really like the name and we may use it one day as a second name :-)
