my boss gives me her mother-n-laws old women's world magazines. (i think thats what its called. they are the weekly magazines usually found in the grocery checkout)
ANYWAY my favorite thing to do first is check the last page where readers submit cute photos of their kids. and i was so disappointed all the names were pretty normal. owen is the only one i remember.

BUT THEN i start reading about an article about a woman who couldnt have kids and ended up adopting a newborn and then found out she was pregnant.

the adopted kids name is JAXSYN! omg ew
the baby she had was Hugo

Owen is a great name, handsome and solid.
Jaxsyn is pretty horrible. Depending on how old he was I would have renamed the kid, or at least changed the spelling to Jackson.

She adopted a newborn. They should've at least made the spelling normal. I know there are plenty of people with the option that adoptive parents should have zero naming rights. I am of the completely opposite opinion. I feel the parents who are raising the child should be able to name them what they wish.

Love the name Hugo. Jackson and Hugo sound great together, but hate the given spelling.

she may have named the baby herself. the article said she went to the hospital to adopt him right after the mother (a college student) had given birth...who knows.
not a bad name just a horrible spelling.

I will never understand the need to take good names and spell them like this. Jaxsyn is just not for me. Hugo... a little old fashioned, but alright. I like Owen, though.

Hugo is waaaaaay better than Jaxsyn :/ Was the child already named when they adopted him? Even so, I'd have changed the spelling at least.

i'm not sure. it didnt actually say, but she went to the hospital to adopt right after the baby was born. her dr had called her (the dr who did her invetro) to tell her about a baby born to a college student who had no plans on keeping the baby.
so...since the girl had no plans on keeping it, why would she have named him?

and i do agree if she named him they could have changed the spelling!

I seriously have been borderline obsessed with the name Jackson lately, I don't know why. And I had a thought of "I'm so glad I've never seen it spelled with a Y." Annnnnnd now I have LOL.
