babe.. I am having a girl and her heart beat is always 130-140

usually the heartbeat thing is genetic, 130-140 is mid range.

unless your family's previous heartbeats have been abnormal (usually hyperactive kids are high heartbeats, etc) then 120-130 = boy and 150-160 = girl

we're not buying pink dresses yet, but it's fun to kind of have a guess at it...

that's an old wives tale with the higher heartbeat being a female than being a male.

My baby's heartbeat has been all over the range. At one point it was 150 and at the ultrasound it was 134. Back at the doctors the next day it was at 140.

My daughter always had a low hearbeat, and she's agirl.

well, my doc said as much, and from what i've read online it's really pretty stead except in those cases where families are consistently not falling into those patterns...

i dunno, either way I wouldn't bet on anything
