Can this lovely community think of any options for what Pippa might be short for besides Philippa? My spouse loves Pippa, but because of family weirdness, Philippa (or anything close to Philip) is absolutely not an option. Penelope, maybe? Poppy? Any other ideas? Can Pippa be its own name? Thanks!

I know two little girls standalone named Pippa. I say use it alone.

You could always go with Pippilotta after Pippi Longstocking

I think Pippa is really nice and very sweet as a name in itself.

I agree that Pippa works alone.

If you love Pippa, I'd suggest going with Pippa.

I was going to say Piper. Also, Persephone.

I think Pippa short for Penelope is cute :)

Piper and Penelope are cute and could work. Persephone is cool, too.

Might be a stretch, but Patricia and Priscillia? Phoebe? Pepper?

I think Pippa could also work on its own, though.
