we've finally chosen a name. actually, it was about a month ago, but i forgot to share it with you guys.

Audrie Jeannette

he picked the first name and the middle name is my mom's middle name. we went with the spelling because our last name ends in a "y" and, also, because i think it looks super cute this way. :)

I like the way the name sounds together, but that spelling of Audrey is atrocious.

But why the -ie at the end? Audrey is a perfectly lovely name. And if your last name already ends in a y, it's not like changing Audrey to Audrie is going to change the pronunciation. The child's name will still be said Name-ee Name-ee. Names are said far more often than they're spelled.

Beautiful, horrible spelling. Why would you mangle such a beautiful name like Audrey?

I love the way it sounds. I personally would have spelled it a little differently, but overall, good choices.

I like the name but the spelling doesn't look 'right'. It makes the name look like a nickname. I actually stopped to figure out the original spelling - Audrey; and that it wasn't short for anything.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I just wish I would have given more thought to the spelling of one of my sons' names.

My daughter's name is Averie, instead of Avery. I love the -ie at the end. So, don't listen to everyone else. This is your baby. :)
