[identity profile] renishas.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I'm writing something for my D&D campaign and I need some help with a fake name. My sorceress is forming an escape plan and an identity change should I need to phase her out of the campaign. Her name is Renisha Diane Sentira. I'd like her last name to be Black. I'm toying with the idea of using Diane as a first name. So throw out some suggestions. It's a modern campaign so nothing on the extreme fantasy side. I'm just stuck and I thought I'd ask this awesome community for suggestions.

Since Diana was associated with the moon, maybe another moon name like Luna or Selena?

Diana Black sounds pretty cool. I second the idea of Luna or Selena Black. Artemis Black may also work.

I really like Diane or Diana Black. I like Diana just a bit better. I also like the idea of using other mythical women, maybe Artemis, or Helen? Athena or Minerva (Minnie!). Sybil or Iris? Theia/Thea is the titan of shining light and brilliant blue skies. I think Maia, Juno, Gaia, and Thisbe are also modern enough to pull off without sounding super fantasy. ( And Thisbe is one of my favorites!) Tyche is the goddess of fate, luck, and providence, so maybe Tyra or Taia?

Names that remind me of Diana in general are Lara, Helena, Maura, Iona, Cara, Thalia, Phoebe, and Ana/Anna/Anne. Good luck!
