[identity profile] pirahan.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

Friend had a baby boy named Ronin Arkham Lastname. Like the asylum in Gotham city. Thoughts?

It really suits the parents style, and I like it in a that's rad but I could never sort of way. I think I prefer Ronan though. I think Arkham is a pretty cool batman nod without being too character-y, and it almost sounds like a surname to me.

I prefer Ronan BUT I can see why they picked Ronin because people light pronounce it Row-nan vs. Roh-nin like it's supposed to be. I do not like Arkham.

Maybe it's the Minnesotan in me but aren't Row and Roh the same?

Arkham is kinda cool. I guess it is a surname technically :p Don't know if I'd use it myself though.

I like Ronin but I prefer Ronan.

The Batman geek in me loves Arkham, but I'd never use it (probably)
