Today, I met a teenaged girl named Nevada.  Honestly, I've wanted to name a character Nevada for a while now, so it was interesting to see it on a person.  It was unusual, but I liked it.  I also met a Ryne who was named after the famous Chicago Cubs baseball player, Ryne Sandberg (his first name was the answer in a crossword puzzle this guy's mom was solving while she was in labor---she took that as a sign).  And there was a Cullan, too.

Nevada? Yikes. I don't always dislike state names, but that one's a stretch. Like the chick from The Real World named Montana.

A friend of mine's husband is named Ryne. I wouldn't use it, but I don't think it's bad.

I had always loved Cullen/Cullan (I prefer the first spelling), but freaking Twilight ruined it. Same with Jasper.
