I am currently hiring for a position at my job, so I have had a huge amount of resumes come through my email. A 27 year old female came in for an interview. After interviewing, we took a copy of her IDs, as well as had her fill out background check information.

On her resume, her name was listed as Ann lastname. Her legal name is: LaShanayah-Ann Marie Lastname. She told me, "I always go by just "Ann" because my first name is such a mouthful. I hate it, and I hate that when I use it, people automatically assume I am some stereotypical ghetto girl! I have two college degrees and live in the suburbs!"

Just goes to show that sometimes people don't actually think about their kids being out in the "real world" with some of these names...
