Lilah Marie Clare/Lilah Clare Marie

I still love Winifred Lilah, although I don't think I could pull it off.

What do you think of Lilah Marie Clare or Lilah Clare Marie? (No comments on spellings, please) Clare and Marie are both family names, as are my other two children's middle names (Cordelia Emily and Isaac Peter). Also, as a sibling to Cordelia Emily and Isaac Peter, do you prefer:

Winifred Lilah
Winifred Clare
Lilah Marie Clare
Lilah Clare Marie
Lilah Winifred

I think with Cordelia and Isaac, I like Winifred Lilah. It's such a pretty name.

Marie Clare reminds me of the magazine Marie Claire, so I wouldn't choose to use the names together. I do think Clare makes a lovely middle name on its own, though!

Lilah Clare Marie. Personally, I'd go without the Marie, but I wouldn't do a double middle name. I do think the hyphen mentioned by someone else is OK, though.

Oh, and I forgot to mention yesterday why I'm against the name Winifred (though, as you already know, I love Fred) You're sticking the poor little girl with a long, old sounding name if you name her Winifred. And she can only shorten it to a boy's name (Fred) or a boy BEAR'S name (Winnie), so I'd stay away from that.

Actually, I really like Lilah Winifred. And I don't have a problem with Winifred being shortened to Winnie. Unless Winnie is immediately followed by "the Pooh", I always think it's a girl's name.

Lilah Marie is also nice, but if you're going to use Clare, I would put that first. Marie Clare just calls to mind the magazine.

i dont like lilah (although i do prefer that spelling to just plain old lila!) i seem to be running into new babies named lila everywhere. it just sounds bitter to me.

and i think winifred sounds nicer with cordelia and isaac. theyre all old style names.

I think they all sound good, except I agree that Marie Clare is too much like the magazine.

I'd probably pick Lilah Winifred since you like that name, although I think Lilah Clare sounds prettier

Of those, Lilah Winifred. Have you considered just Lilah Clare, though? Clare Marie doesn't flow as well, and Marie Clare reminds me of the magazine.
