I work in a Dominican neighborhood and I am very familiar with both those names. I like Lennox but not Yadiel

The mother is Puerto Rican and the father is Dominican I do believe.

Limbo! I knew they were Hispanic. Yadiel is a very common Dominican name Lennox is used by both of our cultures, for boys and girls.

Yadiel makes me think they were going for Yadier, like Molina. I think one of the regular posters said that Ya-, Yu-, Yo-, etc. is a trend among Spanish-speaking communities (similar to the -den/-dyn/-len/-lyn-endings trend among English speakers).

I like Lennox when spelled the standard way.

The parents are both Spanish speaking, Puerto Rican and Dominican.
Its not a bad name but def not my style.
