Rowen
My favourtite boys name at the moment is Rowen. However, I think I would like the middle name of any kids i have (ages away yet) to be the names of my grandparents - BUT Rowen Stephen and Rowen Harry don't sound so good to my ears.
What do you think? do you think that to use a family name is important enough to put up with it sounding less than a perfect pairing? Because Harry and Stephen aren't really my style of first name (want something quite unusual without being stupid and there are loads of harrys and stephens!) but I want to use them I probably would just ignore the fact that they aren't perfect, but I'm just wondering what you all think.

Btw I much prefer the spelling Rowan. It's a great name, and I normally hate names with a w in it, but I like this one.

I don't think either one sounds bad, btw.

Rowan is used in some frequency by American mothers on their daughters, but it is far more common as a boys name. Mr. Bean and the Archbishop of Canterbury are both named Rowan.

Rowan stephen is growing on me. I like stephen more than harry in it's own right, but there are lots and i dislike steve as a nickname, so i'd only have it as a middle name

I agree that if the last name ends in a -en/-an sound than Rowan Stephan is probably not the greatest, but otherwise I think both combos sound fine.
