One of my acquaintances has a new baby nephew named Dominic Lucas. Thoughts? Dominic is one of my favorite names, but it seems like everyone I know is using Lucas and...it just makes the name seem bland and overused to me.

It makes me said because I love Lucas but can't use it now because it is too popular to fit in with my step daughters names.

I like Lucas enough, but I agree that it's overused. Dominic Lucas is still nice. I think it's a little heavy in the -c sound though.

Dominic is growing on me, but it's never been a favourite, however I love the combo if Dominic Lucas.

I like it. Middle names are so rarely used that I really don't mind if a super popular name slips in there, and Dominic is really nice.
