So, after much discussion and debate, we finally have decided on two names we really like. We are not finding out the gender, so I needed at least 1 of each.

Owen Adam
Anna ??

I still need help with the middle name for a girl. His family has the tradition of the first girl's middle name being the grandma's name (so my mom's name). I am not really excited about that idea, as I am not that close with my mom and don't really like her name. That would be Anna Carolyn. I'd like to use Anna Ruth because Ruth was his grandma's name and is my grandma's middle name, so we honor both at the same time. However, due to his traditions that is his sister's middle name and he has said no. I personally like Anna Ruth a lot more than Anna Carolyn. (And I am much closer to my grandma than my mom). The girl's middle name doesn't really have to honor anyone, it would just be a bonus.

What do you think of our names? Do you have any girl mn suggestions?

My middle names are Christine and Anne and someone once suggested Anna Christine as a stage name for me, which I've always liked. I think it flows well!

I like them. Good, solid names. Two thumbs up!

You could try to pick another name that also begins with C... Claire, Catherine, Charolotte, Chloe, etc
Or you could pick a name similiar to Ruth. My sister is Ruth. My name is Rebecca and I also have a sisters named Rachel and Rose. Oh yes, they did.

What is your grandma's first name? Would using that be an option?

Yeah I can agree there.

I was also kind of thinking that since you have Owen Adam for a boy, you could have an O-name for Anna?

Anna Olivia
Anna Ophelia

I can't think of any other O-names right now haha.

Omg someone suggested Julie. I never see anyone suggest my name!!

You could try finding a name with a similar meaning to Ruth or Carolyn.

No, ALL as initials are fine. If she goes to an ALL-inclusive resort, she knows she's included. ;)

I don't think there's anything wrong with ALL :) besides most people just go by first and last as their initials.

Anna Ruth, definitely! It's beautiful. And it's your child's name, YOU get to decide on it. I wouldn't let anyone of the family get in the way of a name I really like.

I agree with this. But it sounds like the baby daddy vetoed on his sister's behalf. :/

I have a few suggestions. My favorite is Anna Lenore. I like a little alliteration in names, though. :)

Anna Lenore
Anna Melissa
Anna Leigh
Anna Louise (I really like this combo a lot!)
Anna Jane (my daughter is Susanna Jane)
Anna Janine (we wanted to use this but it really is too many n's)
Anna Rose
Anna Charlotte
Anna Josephine

I can't see how the initials 'ALL' would be any big deal at all. It's not like giving the kid initials of ASS... I dot see how/why kids would make fun of another kid for having initials that spell a regular word.

I had a friend growing up who was Anna Kay (I *think* this was her full first name though... if it wasn't she went by her first/middle always) and I've always loved the combo.
