Interesting Name

Last nite me && my husband were out for supper && there was the cutest lil girl at the table next to our booth. She had to be around a year old. And her name was Denver. The mother told us it was the lil girls daddy's favorite team. While I might not name my daughter (or son for that matter) Denver -- I have sum issues with John Denver && the Final Destination movies tie in lol -- I thought it was cute without being too kr8tyve && it actually suited the lil girl very well :) At first when she said her name I thought I was hearing Jennifer but she wasnt pronouncing it like Jen-uh-fur..I thought she was sayin Jen-fur. My mom calls me Kath-ern eventho she named me && knows that my name is supposed to be pronounced Kath-er-in..Anyway..Wat do ya'll think of Denver on a lil girl -- yay or nay?? (I've only heard of one real life person named Denver && it was a guy that my nephew was friends with that I only met 1x)

I like Denver a lot, but on a boy, personally. But since it's a place name, I guess it could go either way.

Denver isn't that bad. However, if I were to name my kid after my favorite teams. . .their name would be Detroit :/. Although, not as bad as say, Los Angeles, LOL.

Haha, that has a nice ring to it. ;) St. Louis isn't really a viable given name, so I'd have to name a kid Cardinal. Never mind that that's a Catholic title.

Thankfully, no Cardinals, but a few Blues and Rams. And Saint, Brave, Packer, and Maverick, which is interesting.

I live in Denver, so, I do not co sider it a name at all. I'm not really a fan of place names in general, though (London, Austin, Berlin/Berlynn, Paris, etc. just don't do it for me).

Now I like the Denver Broncos and John Denver more than the next lady, but there's no way I'd ever name my kid that. I like it...but I'd never use it. People would think I was a little too obsessed.

Place names bug me a little bit. But I'd much rather Denver over London or Paris. I also know a little girl named Cincinatti after her dad's favorite sports team. She's almost 10 and I'm still not sure how I feel about that one.
