What do people think of Ruby?

My cousin has got it in her head that Ruby Sue is a good name after seeing it when National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was re-run this Holiday Season.

I don't care much for Ruby. It is a fine name, especially as a middle, but it sounds so trendy to my ears now. In the same vein as Isabella, Mia, etc.

It's become really popular here in the UK, so I'd personally avoid it. Ruby Sue is a bit redneck, I think.
