New name list

I posted a week or so ago my list of potential names but have since had a rethink. Due to my awkward surname (Longley) I've decided anything with an l sound or an ee sound (nicknames excluded) at the end sounds clunky and doesn't flow so I have re-thought my list. I'd like to get it down to five of each.

Archer with the middle name Thomas, Dominic, Benjamin, Joseph or Jacob
Jacob Benjamin (Jake)
Jasper Dominic
Marcus Evan
Jack Abraham
Edward Dean
Thomas George
Brannon James
Samson Dominic (Sam) (I can't use Samuel as bad blood associated with it in the family!)
Tobias Jonathan (Toby)
Sampson Adams (Sam)
Amon Tip (Tipper was my grandfather's surname so I'd like to acknowledge him but Tipper is too feminine)

Jasmine Ava (Minnie)
Ava Grace
Kate Emma
Prudence Amanda (Prue)
Mia Eve
Maria Grace
Francesca Grace
Savannah Faith (Annah)
Cora Anne
Sophia Grace
Sabrina Grace
Edith Martha
Vivienne Amandine
Martha Grace
Anika Grace (Andie)
Anja Margarete (Andie)
Mischa Grace
Judith Ann

As much as I love the name Prudence by itself, it is a name that I think the teasing potential of "prude" is just too high. Some names have been ruined like that--Hortense is another.

I think in the middle position Tipper is fine. The middle is where you put all those "family names that have great sentimental value yet flaws for daily use". However Amon makes me think of Amon-Ra. Consider Eamon instead?

Over all you have some really nice names here, a lot of overlap with my style. I particularly like Sabrina Grace, Francesca Grace and Edith Martha for girls, and Archer Dominic, Edward Dean, and Tobias Jonathan for boys.

My 2 year old is Sophia Grace. Loved both names since I was young, husband didn't like Grace as a first name (my first choice), so we compromised with both of my favorite names. Some people poo-poo it because it's "bland", but I think it is classic and beautiful.

I really like Anja & Anika & Kate.

I love the name Sam, but also do not like Samuel. I suggested Samson to my husband, and he thinks he would be teased. I like Sam, but I don't like JUST Sam for a full name.

Also, Archer is my list as well. :)

Jacob Benjamin and Jasmine Ava are the ones I like best with your surname.

Other than that... mmh... Cora Anne is the one that really bugs me because of the 2 'a's.
Edward Dean and Edith Martha don't flow too well either, IMO.

I like the rest! They could all work just fine, I think. Tobias is my favourite name all around.

My top 5 for both are:

Boys
-Tobias Jonathan
-Samson Dominic
-Archer Dominic
-Edward Dean
-Jasper Dominic
(I also think Dominic would make a great first name!)

Girls
-Anika Grace
-Mischa Grace
-Cora Anne
-Francesca Grace
-Judith Ann

I love Edward Dean and Martha Grace. Both sound really classic with the surname!

My son is Benjamin Jacob and one of my coworkers has a Jacob Benjamin. We joke that we are both great at picking names, do that's my biased top pick for a boy

For your boys

1) Edward Dean Longley
2) Jacob Benjamin Longley
3) Archer Thomas Longley
4) Jasper Dominic Longley
5) Thomas George Longley

Your girls list is much harder for me, heck two of your names (Ava and Mia) are names I used on my daughters, and Sophia is a name I would've happily used.

1) Maria Grace (Elegant in simplicity, love it as a first name, goes so well with the boys)
2) Vivienne Amandine (I think Vivienne is a nice classy name with the French flair)
3 & 4) Sophia Grace & Ava Grace would fit in with different styles of names flawlessly, plus I adore how they pair up next to your boy list!
5) Anja Margarete (more exotic than the others for me, but I just love this combination)

I am editing this because I *just* saw Maria and it is hands down my favorite.
