My friends Justin and Janette welcomed baby Emma Grace last night. She joins big brothers Elliot and Owen.
I know Emma Grace is a common combo, but those are two names that I personally don't think ever get old, they're classy, timeless, and pretty IMO.
And I LOVE Elliot and Owen.

I dislike Emma Grace. It's way too common IMO.

Date: 2012-12-10 04:26 pm (UTC)I think Emma Grace is very pretty, too. Why would a lot of people use it? Precisely because they're pretty, short, easy to pronounce, and come with nothing but good associations. I think Grace is best as a middle name when paired with classic names like Emma, Catherine, Julia, Mary, Anna, etc., or frilly names like Victoria, Amelia, Felicity, Priscilla, Vivian, etc. It's only when Grace (or Rose, for that matter) gets tacked on to names like Kinley, Bryleigh, Miley, Shaylee, etc. that it seems "common" to me.
