two of my friends (who don't know each other), just welcomed baby girls

Jessica (Jess) and Stuart had Charlie Isla

Juliet (Ju) and Edward (Ed) had Lilah Sadie

Charlie as a "full" name for a girl isn't my style, but I love Lilah, esp with the traditional spelling.

Charlie is a great nn but used as a full name is confusing. I love Isla but I know someone named Ilsa and I'm constantly getting them mixed up. Lilah is gorgeous but I too prefer that as a nn, although it kind of straddles that nickname/fullname line. I really dislike Sadie.

I love Charlie as a girl's name, but my female cat is Charlie, and I only really like the name because of that. We thought she was a boy at first, but found out she was a girl and decided to keep the name anyway. I like Sadie, but not really keen on Isla and Lilah.

I like Isla and Lila, although I prefer it without the superfluous H. Charlie as a full name just doesn't cut it for me, but that is very possibly because boy names on girls are *such* a big thing in my area, and I am so sick of seeing little Hunters, Tylers, Charlies, Haydens, Logans, etc. that are girls.

(Also, Juliet is a lovely name!)

Ugh! Charlie isn't a full name, even for a boy. Charlie as a nickname for Charlotte or Charlene would be cute.
