This is the name of a woman from a commercial I saw on television last night:

Ja Ne't - pronounced Juh-NAY o__0

My mom had a friend whose daughter Janet named her little girl Ja Net, and that's how she pronounced it, too.

I saw this too! I called out to my SO in the other room, "How would you pronounce Ja Ne't?" Usually, he will try his best. This time he just said, "WHAAAA???" LOL

There is a woman on one of my message boards naming her baby Janae', pronounced the same way. Why all the random apostrophes?! Especially at the end of a name like that.

whenever i see an orphaned apostrophe like that, i always hope they were going for an accented e (é) and just didn't know the keyboard code for it... :\

For some reason reminded me of a name I saw in a Pro Active commercial earlier this evening: Jurnee. Lady looked to be in her 20s. I face palmed.
