What about Ariel--other than the Little Mermaid association, thanks!---and how would you change it up, if at all, so that it didn't constantly remind you of The Little Mermaid?

I think it's an absolutely beautiful name, but I don't think there's any escaping The Little Mermaid thing. Although I don't think it's a bad association for a name to have.

The only way to change it I can think of is to spell it Arielle (like Danielle), but that doesn't change the pronunciation which is what will remind people the most. *shrug*

I don't want to change the pronounciation, I just don't know if I like the look of "Ariel" because ALL I can think of is the princess, and it mildly irritates me, but at 38 weeks pregnant, I think I could be classified as legally insane.
