I don't hate it...I kind of like it but I think (and I mean nothing mean or ugly by this) it would have to go with a girl that isn't white or some thing like that. You know? I like it.
Jackson for a girl? wow...next thing you know there'll be little girls named George and David. I really don't like how people use lots of boys names on girls nowadays. Jordan isn't too bad, but the rest....no...not my style at all.
We call our son JJ (Because his name is Jackson James) or Jayson (because we call his daddy Jay) or li'l James (cause his daddy's name is James)...not that any of those would work on a girl.
Haha! Jackson Jaxsin. (Oh, funny story: When our "Happy Jack" (that's another I forgot--we sing him the Who song) was born, the nurse tried to push me into naming him "J-A-X-S-I-N". Haha stupid twit.)
two words: michael jackson. first thing i thought of. :( although, i guess depending on the kid it could work though.. i mean i could see a long-haired rocker chick who's 17 or something named Jackson being this edgy cowgirl thing/ or maybe a tough girl i dunno but nms
i guess she could have the nickname jax... like apple jax.... or jumping jax... or something. or jackie, which i guess works. and maybe the city of jackson is a happening place? i have no idea
It's funny, my son has been around (and named) for 19 months now and we've only heard the Michael Jackson thing once or twice. I expected to hear it more often, but I wasn't prepared to give up a name I adored for the sake of other people. :-P
Ug. I'm sorry, but no. I just can't see that on a girl.
I agree with Depeche810. It's so hard to find a good male name because all the good ones are being taken by girls. Nothings sacred anymore:( And once a name goes over to the girls side, there is no turning back.
i love it for a boy, and while i never really thought about it until now, dont really mind it on a girl. if forced, i would actually probably use jackson before madison, on a girl.
