My husband and I were talking today and we were talking about people who name their kids after a family memeber or use a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt's name for a first or middle name and then regret it later on? Did that make sense? What was the name and why.

For us it was the name Michael.....which has now been changed to Nathaniel. My husband has adopted my son (our son now) and his biological father's name was Michael. Also my husband's dad's name is Michael and they are both total douches. Any body else?

i dated a guy for a while who had been named after his father (first AND middle names), then the dad was abusive so his mom left him, remarried a great guy and they had more kids together, and the new dad adopted my ex-bf. they changed the last name to the new family name, and changed the middle name to just a "w" instead of the entire name.

sometimes it all goes smoothly. my granpda is phillip wayne (goes by wayne), my dad is phillip dwight, and my brother is phillip brewer.
