I'm 5 weeks 3 days, and don't know what I'm having yet (hoping for a girl), but we are already thinking of names.

He suggested Mia and Rose, among other things. And my mom put them together. Rose is his maternal grandmother's name. My maternal grandmother's name was Myrna. So I put it all together: Miya Myrna-Rose. I love the double middle names and I'm really stuck on this one now!

Congrats :D

If I ever have a daughter I'll have Rose or Grace in there after my two grandmothers :D Rose is so pretty with Myrna :)

Someone I absolutely loathe has a daughter named Mia Rose. She got it from the bedding set she picked out (that was the name of the pattern).

Also, I say "Miya" differently than I'd say "Mia" (My-ah VS Mee-ah).

I pronounce it differently too.

How classy, choosing your child's name based on their crib bedding. I guess if I ever have a boy, he will be Playful Jungle.

Albeit, Mia Rose is a lovely name.

Mine would have been Barnslig Natten. Not as classy as Henry. :D

It was funny because she had totally different names picked out (nothing bad, in the same vein as "Mia Rose"), and then she went to register at BabiesRUs and picked out this pattern:

Which is Mia Rose by CoCaLo Baby.

So aside from this horrible woman I know having a Mia Rose, I also don't like that this is among the top Google searches for the name LOL ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mia_Rose_(pornographic_actress)

Funnily enough, I was joking to my husband about sort of naming our daughter after bedding. ;) I'd been pushing for Scarlett but he didn't like it - then I bought some bedding with Little Red Riding Hood on it. I said we should name her Scarlett because it matched Little RED Riding Hood. ;)

I'd have to agree with the two different pronunciations with those spellings. OP, if you say your name site says they're both pronounced the same, I'm now not sure at all which pronunciation you're going for.

I do also agree with whoever said the double 'M' name makes you stumble over them. Mia and Myrna are just so similar. Personally, I'd pick one or the other but not both. That said, whatever makes you guys happy!

Plleeeaaase consider taking the y out of Mia ... unless that was a typo.

I say Mia as MEE-uh and Miya as MY-ah (like Maya). You might want to reconsider the kre8ive spelling....

I'm not a fan of the double M (I think it's hard to say). I don't mind double middle names at all, and I think very short names sound fine together. I'm just not big on hyphenating the middle names.

And I really don't like Miya spelled like that. I say it like Mee-ya not Mee-ah.

Honestly, I think Myrna Rose alone is absolutely gorgeous--and different. Mia is SO popular right now! I just think it sounds incomplete. Amelia nn Mia makes even more sense to me.

I even think Mia or something similar could be a nickname for Myrna!

Myrna Rose is nice, I think it would sound great as a sand alone name without the Miyah.
