Kitten names...

I'd posted a while back asking for name suggestions for my kitten. My roommates and I didn't even settle on anything until about a week ago.



We decided on the name Karly because one of our favorite groups/bands is SHeDAISY, and one of the sister's names is Karli. We spelled it Karly so that it would be a tribute to another favorite band, Little Big Town, whose two girl members are Karen amd Kimberly. And we got all silly and cutesy and stuff and gave her a last name - Sweetbrook - after the two male members of Little Big Town (Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook). We told the members of Little Big Town about our cat's name. They were very much amused. Oh, and we're TOTAL nerds and gave her the middle name Emerson, after our OTHER favorite band, Emerson Drive. So, her whole name is Karly Emerson Sweetbrook.

In case anyone was curious about what had come of that. :)

omg, I love that people know who they are now. lol. Yeah, I've been following them since they came out (the fist time... 2002), and have gotten to know them a little bit. They're AWESOME people. Sooo happy for them and where they are right now.

Wow, I've never heard anyone say that they HATE them. Truth be told, I liked that song a lot more before it was a single... you know how some songs just get overplayed? It stinks when it's an amazing song (which, to me, that song is). I still like it, but it's not as cool to me as it used to be.

Ah well. Love them anyway.

We get Boondocks every other song around here. Bring It On Home isn't too overplayed.


I love how they play "Boondocks" and then "Podunk" together a lot now, lol. They just go together, lol.

lol, and just now, my roommate and I went out to the car, and "BIOH" was on the radio. Bah ha ha. I was like "Maybe that's what this person meant..." hehe.

We've been LBT fans for four years now, so hearing them on the radio is still awesome to us.

i'm not a fan of little bit town but thats mostly because i havent actually listened to country radio in like 2 years since i went to college and we don't have a decent radio station... and even if we did, i wouldn't really listen to it that much 'cause i have a CD player in my car and i use itunes on the computer, so... i'm more of a fan of older country.

hehe. It was super-hard to come up with a name, and we thought a tribute to our favorite bands would be cool, but it was so difficult to come up with one. For a while, I was set on just "Emerson," and calling her "Emma" or "Emmy," but my roommates said Emerson was not a pretty girl name, bah! ;)

Awww, I love all those names. Ours are Phoebe Gigi and Karly Emerson Sweetbrook. hehe. I'd also thought about the names Lila and Emma for Karly. Too funny.
