What do you think of:
Reed
for a boy's name?
W.D.Y.T.?

It's too long of a one-syllable to me, I don't know. It's hard to describe. Too much EEEEE.

Know many Reid's, no reeds.

..LOL makes me think of when my friend was preggie with her son, everyone was teasing her, telling her to name her son Reid.

Her last name is Tod.

:)

My dad goes by his middle name, Reid.

I like his spelling better. "Reed" just looks funny to me.

Reid is much better, but I don't like it. Makes me think of ponds and books.

I like it best as a MN. I know a Morgan Reed Thatcher. It sounds so....organic. :)

It's OK. My friend's little cousin (he's 3) has that name and it's cute, but not really my style.

I like Reid a lot. It's a very clean sounding boys name that fits in but stands out.

Spell it "Reid" and I love it.
I could never use it though because it belongs to a friend :(!

I also prefer Reid as it distances itself a bit from the brush-by-a-swamp association

Agree with everyone about the spelling - Reid is much better. I've met one person with this name. I can see reasons to like the name, but I just am not sure if I do or not, something irritates me about it.

I have a personal reason for liking the name Reed but my second instinct is to say, oboe?

Yes, but only as Reid, otherwise you get into mouthpieces for wind instruments.
