New baby at our church:

Vienna Anjali joins big siblings Olivia Ayesha and Xavier Quinn -- they're all half Irish, half Indian.



Also, we're expecting Nov 30, and while we've been set on a boy's name for ages (Josiah Birch), we haven't yet settled on a girl's name. Adeline Ruby is a tentative pick, but my husband really likes Evangeline, and I think prefers Ruth for a middle name for either one. I've also been considering Cornelia lately (recently read "The Hiding Place"), but I don't know. Margaret is an old favorite of mine, but my husband's less keen on it.

New baby will join big sisters Ezra Grace and Elspeth Dove. I'd like to pick an "R" name for a girl (first or middle) to honor my late dad (Roy), but I don't like many "R" names... Last name is Irish and rhymes with "verity." We're also very fond of first + middle combinations that have a coherent meaning -- i.e., Ezra Grace = the help of Grace, Elspeth Dove = little dove pledged to God, Adeline Ruby = noble ruby (as in Prov 31)...

I've loved Anjali ever since I had an English instructor by that name.

As for R names, I'm partial to Rebecca, as it's my name, but it doesn't really go with Ezra and Elspeth. :)
