More Alumni Babies
Sep. 23rd, 2012 09:31 amOkay, last week was the high school magazine. This week, I got my college one! So without further ado, babies born to alumni of my college (with siblings in parenthesis):
Elizabeth Marie
Harold (Colleen)
Austin
August Jackson
Claire Elizabeth (Carolina)
Charlotte Aurora
Aubrey (f)
Augustine David
Rory Marion (m)
Also, some people mentioned non-baby children so I'm giving you those names too.
Jordan (m, college age)
Morgan (m, 15), Ewan (12)
Ella, Owen, Gracia (all elementary school age)
Eva (preschool age)
My thoughts in the comment section!

Elizabeth Marie is a bit boring.
Austin's last name starts with As--- so it's a bit matchy. The parents both have A names as well.
As I said, I like the name August, but I'm not sure about how I like it with the last name. Last name is both a noun and an adjective so a noun name with it makes it sound like a phrase.
I think Augustine David sounds great!
I want to like Rory, but it feels awkward in my mouth (as does Aurora). Still, I think Rory Marion is a great name! I love it when people aren't afraid to put names that have gone girl back on boys.
I love the sibset of Morgan and Ewan!

Claire Elizabeth (Carolina---though they're too close for a sibset)
Charlotte Aurora
Aubrey

Morgan and Ewan
Ella, Owen, Gracia
Eva
Rory Marion is a little too unisex for me. Also, you're right---Elizabeth Marie is nice, but boring.

Date: 2012-09-23 07:08 pm (UTC)Harold (Colleen) - I have no real feelings about either of these names. They are both meh to me.
Austin - Don't like it.
August Jackson - Love the name August! Glad they kept Jackson as a middle name.
Claire Elizabeth (Carolina) - I love the combo but hate that she has a sister named Carolina. Seems too matchy.
Charlotte Aurora - LOVE but wouldn't they look better as siblings? I am just being picky now.
Aubrey (f) - meh.
Augustine David - Augustine is a bit feminine.
Rory Marion (m) - FINALLY the name Rory on a boy like it should be used. Love the name Rory.
Jordan (m, college age) - meh
Morgan (m, 15), Ewan (12) - Love both of these and as siblings too.
Ella, Owen, Gracia (all elementary school age) - Ella and Owen go great together, Gracia seems like an after thought.
Eva (preschool age) - love the way it sounds in Spanish, hate it in English.

Austin - okay name
August Jackson - I think it sounds better the other way around but I like that the first name isn't Jackson.
Claire Elizabeth (Carolina) - Love both.
Charlotte Aurora - great name!
Aubrey (f) - meh
Augustine David - Big name! I like it!
Rory Marion (m) - both of these are girl names in my head.

Date: 2012-09-26 03:39 am (UTC)Harold (Colleen) - Harold is nice, but NMS. Love Colleen.
Austin - NMS but not bad.
August Jackson - Really, really, really dislike the name Jackson. Just... Hate it. Like August a lot more, esp with Gus as a nn.
Claire Elizabeth (Carolina) - Love Claire, like Elizabeth, love Carolina!
Charlotte Aurora - Two names that feel very awkward in my mouth. Pass.
Aubrey (f) - No real feelings. Feels a little funny in my mouth, but a friend's daughter is named this(spelled Aubrie, which I actually like more) so I have a soft spot for it.
Augustine David - Love it. NMS, but I really love it.
Rory Marion (m) - Rory feels funny in my mouth but I really like it nonetheless. Love Marion.
