So, my American Lit. teacher is one of those people who tend to go off on random (yet still entertaining) tangents. One of them was about how her mother wanted to name her Kimber Lee Lastname. Fortunately, her father insisted on naming her Kimberly Anne Lastname. She was probably born in the mid fifties or so. Thoughts?

I don't get why people think it's clever or cute to take a name that ends in -ly, and make it two separate names. Like Emma Leigh.

OP, I've actually seen a few Kimber Lees. I think it is ridiculous. I've yet to see an Emma Leigh though.

Someone I know recently said they like the name "Broc Lee" or "Brock Lee"... she was not joking. Really? Broccoli jokes ensue... LOL

Broc Lee? Really??? Why dont they just have a slew of kids, name them Egg Plant, Aspar-Agus, and String-Bean and get it over with? Vegetables will NEVER make acceptable names. ...never.

I might be off on my own tangent here but I like the idea of Kimber as a first name. Maybe I am tired from all this cleaning and moving but I am kind of in love with it. Not with Lee as a middle name though...

I definitely prefer Kimber over Kimberly. Sure, Kimber Lee is kinda silly, but it's not terrible and I think it's better than Kimberly.
