So we all talk about matching sibling names, and family names, I have run into a few entertaining husband/wife combos recently that had me giggling.

Now obviously this isn't their parents doing, but it's rather amusing to see "Lee and Lea" or "Kelly (m) and Kellie (f)" coming across my desk at work :P

I also enjoy when people get married and their new last name rhymes with their first name, or in some cases, is exactly the same. I remember when Paige from Trading Spaces got married, her full name was Mindy Paige something, so when she married her husband, her legal name became Mindy Paige Page!

Yes! I know a woman who married a guy with the last name Lee. Her first name? Emily. The -lee -lee sound is pretty awkward. :-P

Or rather, if she'd taken her husband's name, it would be Mindy Paige Page. I think she kept Davis. I would too!

I work with couples who are in the process of adopting children so I see A LOT of couple names. We've had a Chris & Chris, and a Jennifer & Jennifer (one went by Jenny and the other Jen). The biggest anomaly is that we tend to get on naming streaks with active clients. And sometimes it's rather rare names (not like Susan's or John's). We've had strings of Rhonda's, Melissa's, and Wendy's.

I have friends who got married, Christopher and Christina. They both went by Chris.

I also had a teacher in middle school, Ms. Wood. She got married and became..... Mrs. Wood. She found and married a guy with the same last name!

My brother's name is Jeremiah, but we called him Jerry until he was in high school, so my family and I often call him that still. His wife's name is Theresa, but she goes by Terri. So they are...Jerry & Terri. It's so cutesy, but they're pretty awesome together.

My mom's maiden name, Lee, also happened to be my father's middle name. When my mom married, she took that as her middle name, so now they both have the same middle name. There's something kind of adorable about that to me, although it wasn't done with that in mind, and she says she would have taken Lee as her middle name regardless of what my dad's middle name was.

My parents know a couple named Kim and Jim. They're closer friends with my aunt, and it always amuses me when she mentions them.

The only famous couple I can think of with really similar names are John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy---they went by Jack and Jackie.

We used to have a couple who lived a few houses down from us named Don and Dawn. And my Godmother’s son’s name is Andy, and his ex-wife’s name is Ann. So we always called them Raggedy Ann and Andy. :D

My husband is Ryan and I am Rhian. People always mispronounce my name as "Ryan" at first so a lot of times people think we have the same name. We don't obviously but it is close enough that I wouldn't date him at first bc I knew I'd end up marrying him since our names basically match hahaha

We also apparently look alike so when people hear our names and don't know we are married they think we're twins. This freaks me out for obvious reasons. We don't look THAT much alike. Just both have fair Irish skin and dark hair. He's taller than me by about five inches and his eyes are light green/blue and mine are super dark brown so I don't see it but we have been asked twice now if we are twins so wtf?

My friend Casey (f) was in a long term relationship with Shannon (m). It always struck me as funny that they both had names you would expect on the opposite gender. (Not that Casey on a girl is all that odd, but usually that spelling is used on boys in my experience. Which makes sense because her dad wanted a boy and when she came out a girl they just named her that anyway.)

French names Pascal (m) and Pascale (f). The normal pronunciation is the same, but when referring to that couple people often pronounce Pascale's normally silent e, and sometimes even call Pascal "Pascal sans e".
