I -think- we've finally chosen a name! Husband says he doesn't 100% love it, and I don't adore the way it sounds with his accent, but I think this is as close as we're going to get to something that works for both of us!

Claire Elizabeth West

Thoughts?

(Also, I thought I'd post my little sister's unusual name. Johnna Renée. She was named after a friend of the family's daughter and I've only ever met one other person with that name. It gets mispronounced/mispelled a lot - Joanna or Johanna.)

I like it, it's classic, respectable and will work for her at any age.

I had a childhood friend named Johnna. She used to say everyone thought it was a typo for John. I've always liked it because it's unique and sounds sort of exotic yet not foolish. I really like the flow of Johnna Renee. I met a little girl recently named Rejhannae pronounced reh-sjhon-ay which is like a mash-up of Johnna Renne! :) Sjhon = how the french pronounce Jean. I don't know how to spell that sound...

I'm not really fond of Claire. Claire was a very popular name in the UK back when I was a child (I'm 26 now). There were Claire's everywhere! I had a best friend called Claire when I was small, then another one when I was in high school and two of my neighbours are Claire, who are slightly older than I am. It feels a bit dated to me, a bit like Tracy and Leanne. But I hear it's popular as a baby name in the US, and if you like the name then go for it! I also don't like Elizabeth but again that's just me.

I love love love Claire Elizabeth! I think it’s really pretty. I’m pretty partial to Elizabeth, though, as it’s my daughter’s middle name. Good job!

For some reason I very, very strongly prefer Clara to Claire, but I think Claire Elizabeth sounds nice =)

I love it. Both names are beautiful and classic and will age well.

My middle school gym teacher was/is named Johnna---that's the only time I've ever heard it, but I always thought it was interesting, if not my style.

"Claire? That's a fat girl's name!" Sorry - I can't help but think of that line every time I hear the name even though I think it's quite a nice name.

I love the flow of Claire Elizabeth West. I think it's very lovely.

I personally don't care for it, but if it works for the two of you, that's all that matters.
