[identity profile] wizened-cynic.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Recently I met an adorable little girl named Elisha, pronounced (el-lish-a). This was never a favorite of mine, and I'd always preferred it for a boy (ee-LIE-sha) but after meeting this kid, I gotta say the name has grown on me! What do you guys think?

Other girls' names and combos I like recently:

Beatrice Alexandra
Miranda Rachael
Sophie Claire
Saoirse Maeve

Thoughts?

I've never made any connection between Alicia and Elijah. I like both names, spelled as I did.

I'm with you on that. My name is Alicia, and I HATE the pronunciation Alisha/Elisha/Aleisha/however you want to spell it. Drives me insane when people call me that!!

I really don't care for that pronunciation of Elisha or for it being used as a girl's name.

I love all your name combos. I really love Saoirse Maeve,

Saoirse Maeve is easily my favorite... I adore both names and they go so nicely together. I also really like Sophie Claire, but its popularity would probably prevent me from using it. Not that it matters, I'm done with babies now. :P
