I LOVE the name Wren. I think it's really sweet.

I don't mind Ren as a nickname, but I don't like Wren as a full name.

It's pretty, but I can only think of the baby in Baby Blues. :P

Luckily, we don't have that in the UK.

I like it! I have a friend who added an additional NA at the end to make it Wrenna, which I also like.

I just don't think they're very attractive birds.

I love the name Wren. I can't use it though because I have a D&D character named Ren and my husband won 't let me name children after role playing characters.

He's no fun then. :D

I'm trying so hard not to use names that I LOVE on pets or WoW characters, lol. Just in case. Might be weird one day to give them to a baby. ;)

I think it's pretty. Wren as a full name, or Ren as a nickname for Lauren are both cute to me. :)

I don't like Wren as a name by itself, but I do like it as a nn. I've heard of it as a nickname for Karen.

I'd never use it for a child myself, but I just used it for a character in my new book so I'd be a hypocrite if I said no on the poll :P

I like the name a lot, but it just sounds so weak.

[identity profile] lipsty.livejournal.com 2012-08-28 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think so? I think it's quite strong, being short and full of consonants.

[identity profile] chaichilaquiles.livejournal.com 2012-08-28 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess feel like that because it is a small bird and not because of the way it sounds, because I feel the opposite if it is a nickname for Renatta and spelled "Ren".
But I have no doubt that the bearer of the name can transform it and own the name, rather than the name owning them, like some names do.

It's my daughter's name - Wren Melissa :)
