-I'd never heard Verbena as a name before, but now that I know and love the baby, I love her name :)
-Prefer the Eliza spelling rather than Aliza
-I like Finn for a boy or a girl

I've never heard Verbena either and I like it a lot! Is it prn ver-benn-ah or ver-been-ah?

Today I was thinking if I were to have a girl and boy I might name them Genevieve and Calder, haha. Athos is pretty cool, too!

I also like Dierdre but always wish the traditional spelling would have been Dierdra.

Genevieve is not my style, but I do appreciate it as a unique, beautiful name. Plus I like that it has so many nickname possibilities- Gen, Genny, Neve, Eve, Evie, Vivi, Ivy......

Verbena is actually pretty cute, especially with Beans and Beanie as nicknames. I might call her Lemon as a joke too if I knew her. I think Grace is overdone as a middle though (like Rose... it seems like this generation's Marie and Ann is Rose and Grace).

Athos makes me think of feta cheese because of Athenos brand.

How do you pronounce Aliza? It is just like Eliza? How do you pronounce Luci? Lukey or Loosey? If the latter, that poor kid.

Hate Finley on a girl. Like Finlay on a boy.

Verbena reminds me of the spanish word for eggplant; which is berenjena, completely different spelling but similar sound and first thing that popped into my end.

Aliza isn't always a creative spelling of Eliza. In modern Hebrew it is its own name, and it means "joy." My mom's (English) name is Joy, and her Hebrew name is Aliza Sarai. :) In Hebrew it is pronounced uh-LEE-zuh.


Athos is my favorite from your list, I wish you knew his middle name! :)

Okay, we're pretty sure it's Athos Leopold. Last name starts with R, two syllables, ends in a vowel.
