[identity profile] r0ck-y0ur-s0ul.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

Thought some of these names were...interesting.

Drew Brees (Saints) and wife Brittany have three boys:
Baylen Robert (2009)
Bowen Christopher (2010)
Callen Christian (2012)

Kroy Biermann (falcons) and RHOA star Kim Zolciak have two boys together:
Kroy Jagger Jr
Kash Kade
And Kim has daughters: Brielle and Ariana

Jay Cutler (bears) and Kristin Cavallari:
Son, Camden Jack

Eric Johnson (former saint) and Jessica Simpson:
Daughter: Maxwell Drew still think this is stupid

Tony Romo (cowboys) and Candice Crawford:
Son, Hawkins Crawford

Some of these may be repeats but, still, what do you think?

Agree with you on Maxwell Drew. WTH? One boy's name on a girl is bad enough, but two???? That poor child.

Totally agree with all of this. And it is a shame because Maxwell and Drew are perfectly nice names...for men. It just screams "trying too hard."

I think they were trying to honour family members or something weren't they? Either way, I'd prefer it if they gave the baby a female variant of the name.. I think the nn Maxi is cute though :)

That's exactly what they were doing.

For a girl, they should have gone with Maxine or Andrea or something. Maxwell is just insane.

I like Brielle & Ariana. And Maxwell for a boy. Christian I like, although I'd never use Christopher and Christian, even as middle names, in the same sibset.

All the rest I'd do without entirely.

The only one I really like is Callen. There's a handful that are okay - like Baylen, Bowen, Camden, Maxwell (but for a boy) and Hawkins. The rest are very bleh.

Speaking of Maxwell Drew, I started reading the synopsis for some stupid book, and the main character was named Maximilian....and it turned out to be a girl. She went by Max, and as I was skimming it I got really confused, because I would NEVER associate Maximilian with a girl. I think the author was just trying to be cool and hip.

I know a girl that's named Max, short for Maxemilienne. It's French and the feminine version of Maxemilien, the feminine version sounds just like Maximilian.

I do like Maxemilienne, it's pretty, I've never heard it before. Now I wonder if that's what the authors were trying to do...I still feel like they were trying to be cool, but who knows, lol.

Kroy has got to be the dumbest name I've seen in a long time.

As someone with a unisex name I know the trouble it brings, so I feel really sorry for Maxwell. At least my name is classified as Unisex and I have a female middle name, but I still struggle.

I think all the boy names are just trying to be super manly, to the point of being obnoxiously so.

I would like Callen if it were Callum, but even then it sounds terrible with Christian.

I like Callen, Jack and Maxwell (for males only)
