What is the deal with the name London? I personally know two people who have named their baby girls London this past year. Then I just heard Tabitha and Napoleon (choreographers) named their new son London, and Jay McGraw (Dr.Phil's son) named his son London also. Is it because the name Paris is tainted with Paris Hilton so everyone is opting for the next best thing? Or maybe it's to celebrate the Olympics!

haha. I knew a set of twin girls named London and Paris. I don't get it, honestly. Not a fan place names, for the most part,

London and Paris are on the SSA's top ten twin combinations, which makes me want to hurt myself.

London is in the top 100 for girls in the US 2011.

London grates on my nerves. But I ~love~ Tabitha and Napoleon.

I'm thinking London must be popular because of the Olympics. I can see Rio becoming popular in four years. :/

I used to like the name London...but that was when I was 14. Still, there are worse names out there. At least it's spelt correctly. I prefer it on boys, but I think it is more popular for girls...maybe? I know there was a girl named London on the Disney show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Tabitha and Napoleon did name their son London because he was born during the olympics. He was going to be Lennox otherwise. I say he's lucky he was born when he was...

Yikes, I was thinking how unlucky he was to be born when he was, lol.

I don't LOVEEE London but it's not horrible. One of my friends is naming her baby Londyn though. That is horrible.

I don't think it'll catch on in the UK. It'd be like naming your kid BIrmingham or Croydon!
