Hi all! We're still TTC, and although I'm still solid on my girl names, I'm still looking for a boy name. I was thinking about Liam but really so I can use the nickname Lee. But I'd really just like to use Lee as a name name and not a nickname.

My husband is still pushing for Henrik, I am still against it. I thought perhaps a compromise of Henrik Leopold with the Lee nickname, but again I would rather just use Lee as a first name.

Would you happen to have some fantastic suggestions for middle names that would go well with the rather short Lee?

Update: My husband and I have talked it over, and we did compromise with Henrik Leopold, and he's fine with using Lee as the nickname, knowing full well it will likely be the only name I use. :) Thank you for the great ideas though! You guys are terrific. <3

Last name is Gibbons. Alexander is good because it's longer. :)

Yeah I like Lee Alexander Gibbons, it sounds nice. I think you should definitely use a longer multiple syllable name for a middle name.

Why not Lee Henrik?

To be honest, I thought your pick of Liam Hennessy was a lot more interesting than just plain Lee.

I do understand what you mean, but Lee itself has grown on me a lot lately the same way Hermione did and I knew I had to have it as either a first or middle. I'm certain I will want Lee in some form as either a first or a middle so I can call him Lee. That's just it for me. Lee as a stand alone first name is an option I'm exploring. :)

The only reason I'm against Henrik is because he said he was joking about the whole name (Henrik Wolfgang combo) and I went and fell in love with a different name. Henrik is still an awesome name, I'm just not as in love with it as I used to be. Or at least I love the idea of calling him Lee more.

What about Leland, nn Lee?

I thought of that, I know my husband will hate it. He likes Henrik, and he told me Henrik takes up his first 20 spots. After that there's a few names like Keith, Jacob and something else I didn't even bother to remember apparently because he made it obvious that there was no point. If we have a boy I will call him Lee anyway, I'll just gather options and my husband can choose which way Lee will work into the actual name from those options. I would prefer it be either a first name or a nickname of the first name but whatever.
